Look Out! It’s a Restaurant Takeover
For the past 9 years I have worked very hard at building my brand world-wide. With 2015 being focused on a lot of travel, press, attending events and numerous shoots, I wanted to focus more on planting my feet in 2016 where I reside – the Cayman Islands.
To be honest, its been one area that I have watched from a far for a while to get a feel on how the health and fitness industry was growing, and how I could make the most impact on the community. We are an island of just over 60,000 residents (about 55% being local, 45% expatriates) that work hard and play hard(er). Its a very social community with many events, galas, boat days and get-together’s where it can be hard for some to find balance in their lives with their own health and fitness.
I decided earlier this year to focus my brand on helping women find balance in their lives; the busy mother or business professional that is running from meeting to meeting, straight from work to soccer practice or from one event to another each week. I wear many hats in my own life from being a former accountant to now running my own business and raising a 4 year old very active boy, that I can completely relate and understand how much we put our own health and fitness needs on the back-burner.
My restaurant takeovers stem from the million dollar question I get asked all the time down here; How do you lead a busy (social) life and achieve your health and fitness goals at the same time? Where the number 1 area that most lack in or find the hardest to tackle is the diet. Did you know, 85-90% of what will change your body is from your diet? You cannot out train a bad diet.
So, I thought to myself, why not show women how they can achieve their health goals while still being able to socialize by hosting my event at one of the most popular restaurants on island, Abacus!
I have spent quite a bit of time with head chef, Will O’Hara to create a 3 course dinner with a healthy twist INCLUDING a line of skinny cocktails and desserts. In fact, I was able to take an average night out; appetizer, dinner, dessert & cocktail and with just some slight tweaks, reduce the calories for the night by half. Each attendee will be able to walk away knowing they can easily make a few changes to their dish (without offending the chef or waitress) save a whole bunch of calories and wake up the next day feeling in control of their goals.
The night will focus on how to stay the course while attending social outings and business functions with learning some of the tips and tricks I have taught my clients over the years. I will teach them how to order off a menu while still enjoying a night out, guilt free. Also, I will be covering the ever so popular flexible dieting approach (macros) and the key components that every woman needs to know about how to understand their body and how it responds to your current lifestyle.
If you are someone who stresses about attending dinners and functions, gets anxiety about what to order off a menu that will compliment your own health and fitness goals or just simply want to learn a bit more about how to find balance in your busy life – this is the event for you.
Deadline to reserve your seat is July 1st. Cost is $100CI pp and can be paid by credit card/paypal, in person or through Butterfield. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP or if you have any questions.
